Why so many people and why just one day? There is power in numbers and with that there is a potential of reaching more people to let them know of this cause.
This is important to me because I grew up poor and not just poor because we didn’t have a Christmas or anything, but poor in we didn’t always have a place to sleep or food to eat. I truly believe that the way out of poverty is through education. I am asking you to get involved in the fight against poverty through education.
According to Global Campaign for Education, 72 million children worldwide are denied access to a basic education. And over 226 million children are denied the opportunity to attend secondary school.
Education is way to combat poverty, it will not solve all poverty issues, but it is a start and more importantly it is hope for people as a way out.

What can you do?
There are so many ways to get involved in the fight against poverty and here are few:
Advocate-write to your Senators and Congressperson to let them know why education is important. Let them hear your voice.
Donate- Every organization needs money to survive and help those in need. You can donate money or time.
Spread the Word- talk to people in your community, schools, churches, etc to let them know about this cause.
Join with Others- Become a youth leader or start a local group of your own to help those in need.

Szöszi kollegával betekintést nyerhettünk a mai tinédzserek párzási szokásaiba. Természetes környezetükben, a Szent István téren figyelhettük meg a rituálét, este hat magasságában. Kezdődött azzal, hogy a jóseggű szöszi bige magát kellőképp kelletve odatipegett a tér alján-közepén egy szépen kivilágított, mindenki által jól látható padra.

Tagbaszakadt hímünk követte, majd semmi kecmec, a csajszi először lovagunk ölébe ült, majd kicsit lovagolt is, hamár. Majd egy darabig a padon fetrengve szenvedtek, aztán a gyerek beterpesztett, a csaj meg bizonyára a kulccsomójával játszott. Szöszi kollegával kezdtünk örülni, hogy ingyé' élő teen pornó, mikoris a gyerek megujjazta a csajt. Ennyi.

Nem szeretnék semmiféle "ez a mai fiatalság, bezzeg a mi időnkben" jellegű dolgra kilyukadni, ez csak egy élménybeszámoló volt, a konklúziót vonjátok le magatoknak. És írjátok meg kommentben.

Yo no soy muy devoto de estos premios, porque creo que está demasiado sujeto al critierio de los corresponsales de France Football, que son quienes votan, pero este año está muy reñido, por cantidad y por calidad, porque todos los candidatos de la encuesta, y algunos que no están, se lo merecerían por diversos motivos.

Además tengo que reconocer el prestigio de un premio que entre sus ganadores tiene a Di Stefano, Cruyff, Beckenbauer, Baggio, Van Basten o Zidane entre otros.

Vosotr@s ¿quién pensáis que se lo merece? No próximo sábado, 19 de outubro, os relógios deverão ser adiantados em uma hora, a partir da meia-noite por causa do horário de verão. O novo horário atinge cidades da região Sul, Sudeste e Centro Oeste do país.

Moradores dos estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul e Disitrito Federal só voltarão o ponteiro do relógio no dia 15 de fevereiro 2009, quando o horário termina.

A mudança de horário é adotada devido uma maior demanda de energia. Nesta época também os dias têm maior duração por causa da posição da Terra em relação ao sol, por isso pode haver maior aproveitamento da luminosidade natural.

Desde 1931 o Brasil adota o horário de verão com algumas interrupções. Somente a partir de 1985 que a medida começou a ser adotada anualmente.

3. pengen punya banyak penggemar, sapa tau jadi beken kan keren

“que legal, e qual o blog delas?”.

Pois bem, apesar de quatro ótimas jornalistas (já tive a alegria de trabalhar com as quatro), nenhuma delas é blogueira. Nem nunca foi. Nem nunca sequer teve interesse em ser.

Lembro que há 2 anos, eu montei esse blog do Oktoberzeitung, quando trabalhava no Santa. Não era bem um blog, vá lá. Era mais uma coluna virtual daquele mais-do-mesmo que saía todo dia no jornal. Não podia furar a reportagem, abordar temas que não fossem bons para a festa e tinha uma certa censura em cima dele. Este ano, só estou acompanhando de longe, entro de vez em quando, mas já estou vendo que ele começa a criar uma nova cara.

Nos primeiros dias, ele estava fraquinho, fraquinho. Com cara de blog de jornalista ou de professor, não de blog de blogueiro. Começou a engatinhar e agora começa assumir uma porção realmente de blog. Mas ainda assim, é mais um trabalho de utilizade pública do que daquela tríade opinião+informação+entretenimento.

Sem contar que falta interatividade e multimídia. Num post recente, a Mônica (editora do caderno) fala sobre uns vídeos que viu no Youtube de um show da banda que se apresentaria. Custava um link para o vídeo?

Conversando com o Evandro, editor de Política e Economia do Santa, estes dias, ele comentou comigo sobre a dificuldade de se utilizar multimídia nos blogs da ClicRBS por ser um sistema confuso e nada prático ,que deixa os jornalistas engessados.

Se for isso mesmo, indico atualizações no sistema ClicRBS, mas não acredito que seja realmente este o problema. Sei de gente que mantém blogs no mesmo sistema e que se dá muito bem. Acho que falta apenas um pouco de instrução para editar o básico em html, fazer aquelas gambiarras que nós sempre tinhamos que fazer na época do finado weblogger (alguém lembra da tristeza que era? era tudo na unha!).

Aula de blog pra esse povo!

Mathe lernen war heute wahrlich ein kleiner Kampf. Anfangs bin ich wie ein gefangenes Tier herumgetigert und das Sitzen am Schreibtisch ist mir total schwer gefallen. Ich war planlos und habe Hefte durchgeblättert, mir alles angesehen, aber kein Zeichen von einem Plan.

 Kurz kam eine Welle von absoluter Überforderung in mir hoch, aber irgendwie hab ich ein zähes Teil in mir, dass sich geweigert hat, das hinzunehmen (also die Idee des Aufgebens und das Aufgeben an sich) und so hatte ich es dann doch geschafft mich einendhalb Stunden hinzusetzen. Na gut. Das ist wirklich verdammt wenig. Ich habe mit den Basics angefangen. Das erste Kapitel von neun habe ich hinter mir, aber ich denke, dass ich es von Tag zu Tag steigern kann. Es war der erste Tag und auch der Tag in der Schule war beschissen... Es war nur der Anfang. Jetzt sind es nur noch 6 Tage...

Ich bin eigentlich nur so versessen hinter dieser verdammten Mathe-Schularbeit her, weil sie praktisch meine einzige richtige Chance ist meinen Kopf noch aus der Schlinge zu ziehen. Wir haben nur eine Mathe-Schularbeit in dem einen Semester und die sollte ich nicht versauen. Natürlich. Es bleibt die Möglichkeit einer Prüfung und die Hausübungen zu machen wird sowieso wieder Programm werden müssen (bis jetzt kläglich versagt in dem Punkt)...

Mein Internet-Verbot ist wirklich nur Mathe bedingt, aber wahrscheinlich sollte ich es ehrlichkeitshalber nur eine drastische Internet-Reduktion nennen.... Und ich denke ich plane schon wieder eine Dummheit....)

Lukacs did a comprehensive review of records of the frequencies of dental cavities in both prehistoric and living human populations in his paper. His sample included teeth from people of Euro-American ancestry, and from Africa, teeth from Guinea-Bissau, Madagascar, and Niger... from Asia, he covered China and Taiwanese aboriginals.

He concluded that the increased sedentary lifestyle and fertility increased the demands on the female reproductive system, which in turn intensified the negative impacts of dietary change on oral health. of women He attributes the increased rates of dental caries in females to three factors:

• Female sex hormones, like estrogen, significantly impact cavity formation. Estrogen is produced by the placenta throughout a pregnancy and the levels increase steadily until birth.
• Females produce less saliva than men. Saliva has two important components, enzymes like amylase, that begin break down of complex sugars. If these sugars aren't broken down, microbes in the mouth consume them and as a biproduct release acids that break down the enamel of the tooth. Saliva also has another component, antibodies and phagocytes that attack the very microbes that cause cavities.
• Women crave high-energy, sweet foods during the third trimester which we all know are promotes cavities and dental decay.

So ultimately female physiology combined with the the changes in diet and increased feritlity are the reasons why women have more cavities than men. Razib mentions that with increased fertility comes a reciprocal increase infant mortality, especially because the agricultural revolution increased communicable diseases. He concludes that hunter-gatherer infants are far more likely to reach reproductive age than infants of an agriculturalist.

But I disagree. Despite the recent popularity of the paleo-diet, the real hunter gatherer lifestyle is not easy. Many hunter gatherer societies have erratic sources of nutrition, very few have regular caloric intakes. John Hawks explained that among hunter gatherers, like the Hiwi, only 43% of the adults were expected to see the age of 30. Furthermore, many hunter gatherer cultures also have food taboos which dictate the diets of females. For example, Australian aboriginal societies restrict protein and fat foods for pregnant and lactating women. Similar traditions exist in Africa too. In Athapaskan societies, females at menarche cannot eat fresh meat.

Mothers who do not consume many calories, reach menarche at an older age and become amenorrheic -- irregularly menstruate. If and when they do have a child, they are often have low birth weights, and have a higher risk of dying because they have little to no fat reserves. They consume inadequate amounts of nutrition since the mothers cannot make insufficient amounts of milk. All of which influences birth spacing significantly.

Despite the increased probability of cavities, the Neolithic revolution has generally been a good thing for women and children.

I caught Erin Wilson outside of Mary Gates Hall while she was taking her break from work at the Career Center.

"I have to dress business casual here, but I try to be as creative as I can," she said. "I could just wear pants and a shirt, but I don't want to do that."

Erin added that she likes to wear colors that are neutral but then mix in other colors to make interesting combinations.

The dress is from Express, the sweater from lululemon, and the capris and shoes from Nordstrom — "Brass Plum, to be exact."

Besides the patterning of the dress, my favorite part of the outfit was the metalic silver and black penny flats. This is a great example that you don't have to dress flashy to look good and make an impression.
